About Us

The Canyon Bistro is a new eatery in Topanga,Ca., located at 120. N Topanga Canyon Bl in Topanga (Pine Tree Circle shopping Center) My wife, Claire, and I have owned nearby Cafe Mimosa for the last 3 1/2 years and have really enjoyed being a part of the Topanga community. The Bistro comes to life from a combination of things. Our personal desire to serve gourmet type fare at affordable prices, and the need for more dining choices in the canyon, which has been the overriding request we get from our customers at the Cafe. Cafe Mimosa is a wonderful place to come for your morning coffee and organic pastry, a nice sandwich or salad for lunch, and to shop for boutique items from France and jewerly made by local artisans. No big kitchen though...thus our desire to build a full service restaurant.

The Canyon Bistro fills that need and at the same time will hopefully be a place Topangans can call home. We also welcome our commuters coming through the canyon between the valley and the west side, and those from Calabasas and Agoura,Malibu and Pacific Palisades. We have an eclectic menu of gourmet comfort foods, prepared masterfully from our kitchen staff. Join us for full service Lunch, Dinner or Brunch Tuesday through Sunday. You can also order online or call for takeout.

As a life long musician/composer, I have such fond memories of all my trips to France when I was touring with various artists, and now trips to be with my wife's family. The family meal is truly that in France, when everyone comes together, no matter the schedule, to be together and share a meal. I love that, and the love of that experience is what I would like to present in a contemporary setting here in Topanga.
